What events led to the outbreak of war in the DR Congo?
towards my understanding and research the war never decease. Its still going on because of the death of their former president.this event took place 14 years ago.from my opinion Congo's people can hold a grudge.

How many have died in this war?
There is over 5 million people who have died in this war. Some committed suicide because they were afraid to be killed by soldiers and others died because of the untreated health problems and much more.
Over what time frame has the deaths taken place?
The time frame the deaths have taken place was with in 10 years. The Tutsis- led the Rwandan Patriotic Army to take over the Kivus, the part of the Congo that borders Rwanda, in 1996 and in 1998.

What countries and ethnic groups are involved? What do you think can happen to stop the war/genocide in Congo?
To my understanding and research nothing can happen to stop this genocide.Almost everything has been done already to stop this genocide/war. The biggest peacekeepers of the world have even tried to stop the war, and it seems like nothing happened. They even tried to get them to sign some papers to stop the war and arm down, which they did.Obviously that wasn't the answer because they continued to fight.I think what needs to happen to stop the genocide/war is that they should put aside their differences and forget about it, because what they are fighting for in my opinion its not necessary.

Who is John Garang de Mabior?
Dr. John Garang born June 23,1945 decease July 30,2005;was the first Vice President of Sudan and former leader of the rebel Sudan People's Liberation Army.He was born in the Dinka ethnic group, raised as an orphan at age ten in Wanglei village in Bor, Sudan, currently Jonglei State. He attended schools in Wau and then Rumbek, paid fees by relatives. Later in life he earned a B.A (bachelor of arts) by Grinnell College Iowa,USA. After his death he was recognized as a profound leader, yet clever man. e was honored in my book as a African worthy to be worship or respected in a memorable fashion. I say this because I knew nothing about him and know that I do I believe he should have been in the line of history just with the ones I'm familiar with.

Who are the Dinka people of Sudan?

The Dink people of Sudan are an ethnic group that lived in southern Sudan along both sides of the White Nile. The Dinka defended their area against the Ottoman Turks in the mid-1800s.They believe in a universal single God, who they call Nhialac. They believe Nhialac is the creator and source of life but had a distance from human affairs. They believe that their god only has contact in a spiritual way. They have rejected attempts to believe in Islam, but have been somewhat open to Christian missionaries.

What is the SPLM/A?
SPLM/A is an abbreviation for Sudan People's Liberation Movement/Army, the political wing and army of Sudanese rebels formed in 1983, of which John Garang de Mabior lead before his death.John Garang fought for 22 years and lead SPLM/A which was divided into 3 main factions im 1983.

Describe the incidents, events, and developments of the genocide in Sudan?

The incident that took place of the genocide in Sudan was based on the SPLA accused of human rights abuse.Their was about 2 million people lost. To remind you there wasn't more than 3 million people in their population. They had no education , money nor health to survive. I find this incident outrageous and Not necessary. I believe this because life is to short for disagreements, war and lack of education. They destroyed about 2 or more generations. I am positively against this event.

Pan-Afrikanism is the unity of different Afrikan people and different Afrikan nations. How would this type of unity benefit Sudan?

I believe this type of unity would benefit Sudan by the agreement to stop rhe war even though they g\have different beliefs, customs, Identity,

What factors led to the genocide in Rwanda in 1994?
The factors that led towards Rwanda's genocide was focused on the death of there president. His plane got shot down and it blew up on April 6,1994. President Juvenal Haybarimana,a Hutu. The incident was currently blamed on the former president of Rwanda, which was Paul Kagame.

What was the time frame of the 1994 genocide and how many people died?
The exact time frame of Rwanda's genocide was between April threw July in the year of 1994. There were many people who died. Most of the people were from the tribe named Tutis. The number of people who decease in the genocide was exactly 800,000 people.

What were some of the after effects of the genocide?
Some events or effect that took place after the genocide is that the tribe named Tutis is governing Rwanda and has control over many. Even though the Tutis is currently in charge there are still economical and personal issues between the two tribes Tutis and Hutis. From different references many sociologist believes that it will be impossible to solve the personal and economical issues between these to tribes because they are very strong and refuses to stop.
